The Write Way to Die 9781068308864 Paperback

‘If you’re a fan of Richard Osman, you simply have to make sure this series is next on your list.’Think Richard Osman meets Jo Nesbo:The Write Way to Dieseries blends cosy crime with serial killers, with much hilarity along the way as amateur detectives, 50-somethings Amy and Jenny, bumble their way (with quite a lot of swearing) to catching killers.Perfect for fans of Richard Osman, Caimh McDonnell, Chris Brookmyre, Janice Hallett and Benjamin Stevenson. When Amy joins a writing group, it’s murder.Having left her job at the vet’s to pursue her writing career, Amy joins a local writing group and suggests the members pen their perfect murders. The short stories, like the writers, vary greatly, from Amy’s darkly funny tale involving far too many cake references and a pet crematorium, to gentleman John’s coldly calculated revenge killing. Then there’s Robert, who inserts himself into the group in quite a strange manner, and who wants to write a killer worthy of a nickname. Enter the Exhibitionist, the stuff of nightmares and the darkest of all. When bodies start appearing for real around the seaside town’s art installations, Amy and new best friend, potty-mouthed, pink-haired Jenny, turn detective. Could life really be imitating art?Praise forThe Write Way to Dieseries:’These books comfortably stand alongside Mr Osman’s fabulous creations.”A writing masterclass.”A brilliantly fun, darkly comedic “whodunnit”.’
